Ok, it’s been a while but a few comics showed up recently. So, here’s a diversion for the hot days of August.
While I’m not a huge fan of Air Boy, I found the dead Nazi (Black Ace) cover pretty cool. From Hillman Periodicals in March 1944. According to the ads, I can play Boogie-Woogie easily on the piano and get a new Commando “Krak-A-Jap” Machine Gun with a free telescope for playing war with my gang.
Heroic Comics Number 25 came out in July 1944 from The Eastern Color Printing Company. The stories inside are apparently true accounts of various heroic actions of individuals and units. But, they also had stories from the Music Man, Hydroman and Rainbow Boy just to keep things light. The best ad was getting a Slide Rule Code Maker (5 days free trial) to make my own secret codes.
Awesome couple of comics, thanks
