Not in very good shape, but I haven’t seen a lot of them out there. Sensation Mystery #114, a DC comic from 1952 came from Goodwill. I like the cover and you have to know there’s problems for a guy named Johnny Peril in the stories. I still need to read this but it’s delicate condition means I’ll be looking online for a scanned copy.
I’m a big fan of collecting number one issues which led me to a large batch of Bronze Age Atlas comics. Here are some of the most recent pictures as I’ve tried to organize my collection. I’ll try to add these weekly since I have a good sized collection.
In the far-off era of 2010 AD, astronauts return from space to find Earth ruled by technological geniuses who live on human blood in Planet of Vampires. The storyline is interesting along with the cover.
Keeping with the vampire theme, here’s another first issue from Atlas. Fright #1 (1975 Atlas) carries an origin story. In my read of it, the story is not very good. Just a mixed up mess trying to turn a vampire into some type of sympathetic character.
