Since I’ve been looking at the stats for The Pulpist, I thought I would share some of the highlights. As you can see, the audience is worldwide but primarily based in the USA. It’s not a surprise considering that is the target market for my books. Please drop me a line sometime on the comments for this newsletter and let me know where you’re located.
SPAM FILTER FIX
As I was going through the statistics, I discovered my subscribers have only a 25% open rate on emails sent to them. As I looked deeper, there is no real difference to whether in the stat for either paid or free subscribers. As I thought about it, I believe a substantial number of The Pulpist emails to you are ending up in your mailbox spam filters.
I’ve seen this happen to those Substack newsletters I subscribe to. So, here is the fix below.
Substack has instructions for our readers on how to fix SPAM issues for newsletters coming to the reader.
The link below makes it easy. Just click on the link and send yourself a test email. This will verify your email receives my newsletter.

IF you don’t receive the test email, you need to look at the SPAM box to verify if that’s the issue. Usually, the problem is an easy fix by adding The Pulpist Substack email address to your contact list. That email address for your contact list is:
gordonbrewer@substack.com
Most email programs will let the newsletters come through when you put the address in your list. This action should correct any issues. For more detailed instructions or if you aren’t receiving the email, use the link below for more support.
