A Story in One Page from 1952

The Spirit (1952 Fiction House) comic. Since it’s a first issue, I grabbed it for my collection. Even better was the cool art work. So many possible backstories in this cover. I enjoy how the artist captures the sense of mortal terror, along with greed and possibly avarice, a menacing monsters, and a possible heroic rescue on a collapsing staircase in one picture.
