Those who regularly check out my blog know of my affinity to first issues of comics. In particular, I’m a fan of WW2 Golden Age. I found these 2 issues recently from Eastern Color, called Reg’ar Fellers Heroic Comics. Issue 1 is August 1940 while Issue 7 is from July 1941. Eastern Color Printing Company started published comic books beginning in 1933 but also printing for the majority of publishers in the comic book industry during the 40s. The company folded in 2002.
The first issue shows the character Hydroman who changes into water due to a chemical accident.
The seven issue has another cover of Hydroman. On both issues, I noticed how the stories really try to push readers to get the next issue. Plus there are “Big Prizes” with each issue.
