Jealous Gods
A New Comic Book Series Coming 2022
As I’ve mentioned before, the work for Jealous Gods is slowly coming together. The script is about 20 pages so far and I expect it will reach into the low 100 pages eventually. And now we have the first rough character sketches and you can see the heavy manga influence in both the story (Ki-Sho-Ten-Ketsu treatment) and style.
Since the dawn of humanity, the Gates of Sete Cidades (Seven Cities) is the path where the forgotten gods enter another realm when their reign ends. However, the ancient gods still seek to return and it is the duty of a group of demigods, called Febails, to keep them in their place. My story begins with the return of the Vucub-Caquix, the Mayan god of the underworld and a bird demon, into the human realm again.
I’m happy to show them off even as drafts for you to see some of the evil characters that humanity is up against.
