Vin and I have decided to put our next comic story into a graphic novel. As such, I’ll put together a Kickstarter campaign while Vin continues his progress on the first story from the script I’ve given him. I’ve added some of the conceptual characters. We envision about 60 pages of macabre and twisted stories as THE FREAK SHOW arrives.
Synopsis - In this series of linked stories, a two person carnival in the form of a old fancy hearse/truck arrives to small towns of the USA during the war years of the 1940s. Colonel Winthrop E. Smith charges each patron a nickel for them to see the jars of curious specimens embalmed inside large jars along with creepy instruments of torture and oddities. As the patrons walk through the hearse truck which appears much larger inside than possible, one client will find a cursed artifact. That evening, Each night the Colonel and his assistant stop at a crossroad to make their campsite, and they call out a demon to regal it with a new story as they trade a soul.
I’m still working out the campaign details so I’ll let you know more when this gets solidified. However, a heads up that I’m probably going to be adding at least 3 variant covers and probably full print issues of Strange Twisted Tales and Creepsi to the packages. If you have ideas for interesting benefits you’d like to see, please respond with a note on Substack.
Stay tuned.
For those curious about my novels, I still working on the 5th Ray Irish book so still on schedule for end of the year. To catch up on the series, I invite you to download the free copies from here. You can also purchase the first book for 99 cents from Amazon and the other retailers.
