My Two Comics Finally Returned from CGC

It only took nearly a year to get graded

Well, if you choose the slow (cheapest) lane for grading, you will wait for a while. I sent them out in September 2021 and just got them in this week. I’m pleased with the grades since I had them lower in my own mind. As you can see, I have a thing for first issues so I focus on those (while trying to pick up WW2 or older as well).

As for value, I believe the grading does push the value up since I try to find the ungraded floppies first at the best price. It can be a no brainer in some ways if you pick up a rarer DC/Marvel in near mint condition and have it graded. However, it’s still an open question to me whether the before and after valuations are worth it given the cost on these. I guess time will tell.
