Shadow Over Charax is Complete
On to the next novel with my latest update on my writing progress!
Well, my novel writing certainly turned sluggish in 2021. Normally I get 3 novels written per year but my move to more comic production and writing has taken it’s toll. That said, Shadow Over Charax is complete and in a 30 day window before final edits and getting the cover completed. I’ll show the Cover on this blog when I receive it.
That leads to my next story which is making pretty good progress so far. Tentatively titled, The Manor House, the stories of four people who suddenly show up one day at an isolated estate that becomes the marker for their future. The four ladies who run the estate are humatons (my word for human-like automatons) along with their servants. The strangers are fed and clothed in fashion of Edwardian times and they are encouraged to search the house for a lost key. In their search, they find that the hallways become a maze. Worse, when they enter some of the rooms, they encounter terrible ordeals which test them to their limits. Each stranger’s past is woven into the present by the caretakers (named Alice, Phileas, Morana, and Pandora) to justify the stranger’s proper exit from the Manor House.
Without giving too much away, I think of it as a dark fantasy with plenty of influences from anime to modern film. I hope you’ll keep an eye out for my updates as this book progresses.
Below, I’ve added some of my novels that are only 99 cents with FREE PREVIEWS (dark fantasy or supernatural mystery starts to the series) as a shameless marketing effort of my work…;o) These are on Kindle but also available at places like Kobo, Barnes and Noble, and Apple Books as well as in paperback. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
