Current Work over on Medium
I’m currently running a side project called Morbid Ink on the Medium website which is more focused upon short stories in the view of Weird Tales and pulp magazines of the 30s.
I’m not pushing to leave Substack, howecer, the fact that Medium has a significantly higher number of users (63 million visits per month vs. 384K visits per month on Substack) along with a different audience, makes me want to promote this project and my stories there as well.
Unfortunately, the project is taking up a lot of my time. This mean’s I’ve been negligent on keeping Ray Irish’s latest chapters updated here. But, you should see a new chapter this weekend.
Another Golden Age Comic arrived recently.
The Atomic Thunderbolt #1 from February 1946, published by the Regor Company, came into my possession. Not in perfect condition but pretty unique. A one-shot comic, The Atomic Thunderbolt was created just after WW2 and the atom bomb. His superpower fueled by atomic science with a goal was to save the world from nuclear annihilation. It’s interesting to note that the Cold War had yet to really started.
Interestingly, the comic character was restarted in the last few years with Kickstarter. You can discover more here.
Of course, I can’t end without a shameless pitch for my books.
A New Way to Purchase My Books Direct from Ingram
PRINT EDITIONS: After receiving an email this morning from IngramSpark, I’ve found I can create direct links for print copies of my books which are printed and shipped through Ingram. It means no more middle man cuts for online purchases. Thus, I’m happy to announce that all my print novels are now cheaper than Amazon and Barnes & Noble on my website.
