First, I want to thank new subscribers to my substack page. To level set expectations in 2022, so far it appears that comics are taking up the bulk of my world just by the volume of work and effort. However, I’m trying not to short change my novels too much.
March came and went before I had a chance to reflect. I feel like if I blink, I might miss something with all the interesting stuff going on within my little world. As normal, I have far to many stories still in draft than I have time to get them completed. The good news is that I’m able to put some of these stories into the Strange Twisted Tales monthly issues. I invite you to check them out since I’ve put the print issues up on Gumroad.
Shadow Over Charax edits slowed but I still hope to have this published by the end of April. The nice work done by Time Garvanliev to get my cover ready inspired me to push harder.
As for the latest comic/graphic novel information. I have some sketches of this month’s stories for Strange Twisted Tales. The stories are my homage to great bands with awesome stories in their songs. First story is Gallis Pole - inspired by "Gallows Pole” by Led Zeppelin. The second is “Guess My Name”" - which is a take off of “Sympathy for the Devil” by the Rolling Stones. You might find a few characters that look like members of the bands.
Here’s some draft work for you to look over.
As a reminder, you can get all the current and past issues of Strange Twisted Tales and it’s predecessor here or at the website Strangetwisted.com.
Additional panels are coming in for Azathoth Fragments - an ongoing webcomic with elements of Lovecraftian gods and beasts combined with fantasy sword and sorcery. You can find it here for the ongoing read. After ~ 20-24 pages, I intend to close the chapter and make an epub available.
